Being a great Leader

I once read some where something that went like “great leaders when the team faces success lead from the back, and when the team faces tough times , they lead from the front”.

I beleive this sums up what being a great leader is all about.

Leading people is not about telling them what to do, it’s enabling the people you lead to be the very best they can be. By identifying their strength and weakness, and helping them to work on their weakness and build on their strengths.

We have leaders in every aspect our our lives. In our family life there are times and situations that require us to lead and because we have that strength we lead, but there are instances where we just can’t take that role, so we allow ourselves to be lead. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

There is no need to always be the leader. The greatest leaders are the ones that can be lead, for it means they always learning and growing.

Great leaders are often those that help the ones that need the help, that don’t help to gain recognition for what they have done, but rather just to ensure the person they have helped is able to achieve what they need to achieve.

Leadership is not getting to the top, it’s about being on the same level as those you lead and holding everyone together. Ensuring that together you can accomplish what you need to, each person playing the part they need to.

It’s about listening, understanding and respecting every person you are leading.

Great leaders are those that are passionate about what they are doing, they are committed to accomplishing what they need to.

Great leaders don’t create a good following but rather more leaders!!!

Sending love and light to all
